Does that really matter? ;) PeerGuardian and programs like it are all just placebo pills anyway...

Yes it does matter, a lot, have you ever run emule with pg2 on, you get a message mpaa, ed2k fake servers, etcetc are blocked every second...
In bittorrent public I also have a few MPAA connects blocked...
Better to block some than allow everything imo.

I'm going to have to look further into peerguardian.. I've had it on for 2 days, and it's driving me completely insane!!! I tell it to permanently allow a web page, it's fine for a day, then it blocks it again!?!?! What part of PERMANENTLY does it not understand!?!?!? :D

It is interesting to see all the university traffic coming and going to our pc's though...

Allow http in pg2, it'll still shield you while using p2p, it will only stop it from blocking stuff on your browser.

That one does NOT work, so what it loads up and filters 1st ten connections or so, after about 10 seconds it gives up and you can't see any ip's being filtered anymore...
Ok, it may perhaps work in vista 32 bit, but in vista x64, I can definatly say it does not work.

When i did the initial setup, i told it to allow http; but every time it loads, http is blocked and i have to allow it manually!?!

Do you guy's only use pg2 with p2p? The reason i ask is that it seems to be blocking unwanted scans as soon as i boot up, even from "ServerBeach Emule servers|p2p fake files". Now i haven't even fired emule up for god knows how many weeks!?!?!

Sorry OP for stealing (i prefer borrowing) your thread :D

Disabling "Driver Signature Enforcement" in Vista 64bit may make a difference....but then again maybe not.
You don't want to do that. Only developers should use that function.
