vista premium 64bit query

over the last week my pc has been getting stuck at the splash screen and then when you reboot it goes back to normal,its nearly every time i start the pc up,but sometimes it will just go back to normal when i start it up,any ideas please,ive tried uninstalling software that has just been put on and still doing it :confused:

Check the event logs for errors? Everything look okay? Windows Update? Drivers Updates?

If this is a new build have you run memtest86+, prime95 etc to check that your hardware is stable. Also reset clocks if overclocked and see if the problem still exists.

cheers for the advice all drivers and updates are upto date,one thing i changed was the pagefile down to 1024 mb,and just checked a error and it says
configuring the page file for crash dump failed,make sure there is a page file on the main partition big enough to contain the physical memory

so ive just put it back to let windows auto and its gone back to 4096,
