OK, a friend has just told me for the last 2 years everytime they boot up their lappy, narrator starts too!

I don't know much about Vista and am stuck to help him! I have:

a. looked in "startup" - nothing i can see there.
b. gone into "ease of access", unchecked and rebooted

But still the same problem. Also in the bottom left of the logon screen is the ease of access control panel - i haven't seen that on other Vista machines.

Any ideas how he can stop narrator starting everytime it boots up?

Thanks.

Type "ease" into the start/search bar and click "Ease of Access Center", scroll down to and click on "Use the Computer Without a Display" and use the checkbox in there to turn that bloody annoying **** off!

Type msconfig in the start/search bar, got to the startup tab and see if there is any mentions of narrator there. Also a good excuse to turn off any other junk you don't want starting with the machine :)
