Right [edited by a don] installed a version of Vista, keep getting a bloody memory reference error. Now i am going to buy it just wanted to see if it worked first drivers etc. Now the version i ddownloaded is a extremly stripped down version 600mb fits on a CD. Is this error occuring because it has been butchered or do u think its my hardware. Cheers guys.

No its not BSOD it will be for example when i go to download something, it will come up with a error box saying something about memoruy reference cant remember the code. You click ok and it exits internet explorer and u wont be able to open it again without the error message untill you restart the pc. Im guessing its the butchered Vista having problems it has all sorts of bits missing from it to slim it down.

Yeah like i said it was just a test of hardware and drivers, gonna sort a genuine copy. I find Vista suprisingly fast i rather like it. One question im swayed towards 64bit Vista, is driver support as bad as all the scare mongers make out.
