Installed Vista last night onto my laptop, and it seems to be running like a dog.

I have Vista Ultimate, and my laptop is only 4 months old and had a dual core Centrino CPU with 1gb ram but it just seems to be running quite slow.

I have a little sticker on the laptop saying "Vista Premium Ready" but there isn't that many differences between premium and ultimate.

It just seems that when i move my mouse pad it freezes every so often.

Any ideas?

Try disabling stuff like windows defender, indexing service, migth be hdd lag because it's too busy doing something unneeded ( I highly recommend you keep superfetch enabled though, migth be slow for 1st 2 misn or so, but once ram is full of cache , widows will be a lot faster, everything will be intstant...)
