I have Vista RC1 (beta I think) which I downloaded sometime ago when MS were doing the free trial to so many people, I have the activation key as well but have never used this.

Am I still able to use this on my PC with the official release being available as I want to leave it about another month or so before I go out and buy my copy.

Is anyone still using theirs?

Thanks
Stu

Yep, you can still install and activate it - did this with RC1 last week.
However, you won't be able to get any Windows Updates, as these have been stopped for it.
Apart from that, it runs fine.

I'm still using my copy of RC1, just waiting til the funds permit me buying Vista in a couple of months. Just deliberating over whether to buy the retail version since I will probably upgrade way before the next OS is released.

Although I don't like the extra cost, for me Retail is the only option. I don't know when I am going to upgrade next but I want to be sure that when I do I'm not going to have to shell some more money for another copy of it, the only choice I have to make now is which version shall I go for?

Home Premium or Ultimate?
