I'm getting some BSOD's (nvlddmkm related), but although Device Manager states that 96.33 is the driver, I can't find anyway for me to uninstall them, so I presume the setup didn't complete properly.

Not sure what to do next, is my XFX GT6800GT causing the problem?

There should be four nv*.exe's in c:\windows\system32 (or syswow64 if you are on 64-bit). NVUNINST.EXE should be one of them.

EDIT:

I also doubt that it's your card causing the issue, more likely the drivers, they seem flakey at the best of times (on both 32-bit and 64-bit instances of the OS).

Is there any particular reason you want them installed over the ones that are bundled with vista (based on the 8x.xx platform drivers)?

The only advantage to the 96.33's is that they allow OpenGL.

Performance appears to be on-par with XP for me using either vista's bundled driver or the 96.33's in D3D apps (3dmark06).
