Vista RC2 This Friday !

Can you just install over RC1? I *just* set up RC1 on the laptop and really can't afford to format at this time.... (have to transfer files over wireles... takes hours)
 
best thing so far is that virtual clone drive* works out of the box. no messing around with bodging over cdrom.sys from a previous build..... :cool:

*image mounting tool for those who didn't know....
 
D/L the 64 Bit version.....Only ever used the 32 Bit version of RC1, so i'm gonna do a clean install for the 64 Bit......Hoping i dont have any real driver issues :o
 
Anyone installed the ATi beta's ontop of RC2 yet??

I did on RC1 and got BSOD?

Like to know before I make hassle for myself!

RC2 says not compatible with COD2?? Lol and RC1 was :confused:

Going to install it anyhow
 
using ati rc1 drivers on rc2 now. works fine but then i've never had any problems previously. guess that must be down to the fact i have a fairly old card (x800pro).

another great thing about rc2 and that is something that has never worked for me in any previous build..... and that is that sound works in pro evo 5.

Installed it and it's made my Net connection go all weird....Sits on Limited Connectivity for ages (nearly 10 mins) , then finds "Unidentified Network" ....About 5 mins later it finally finds my Internet connection :(
 
Still doesn't see my XFi xtreme correctly, says COD2 isn't compatible...

pffff


Gone back to RC1 not as many bugs for me....

waste of time, oh well will wait for another version
