Vista Ready??

OK so I bought an ATI Radeon X1650 Pro AGP and put it in my PC then loaded up windows vista and decided to play some games, but it froze and wouldn't do 'ANYTHING' so I tried a different game and got a BSOD (got different ones all the time), so I thought it could be because I had the old card in, so I formatted, but the same thing was happening. After a while of lots of freezing and BSODs I got a Frequency Out Of Range error and so I gave up.

I thought the card was broken, but I recently went back to XP (I didn't think it would work in here either), but it works perfectly, I can play games for hours on end with no problems.

How can ATI state their cards are vista ready when 'OBVIOUSLY' they are not! Is it a problem with Vista and AGP, why is this happening?

Any help would be appreciated.

think you'll find that bumping is a no-no but just thought I'd let you know that I had an X1800 working in Vista with absolutely zero issues so can't really help you. Worked ok using built in drivers and Catalyst 7 and 7.1.

Maybe its nothing to do with your graphics card, maybes its dodgy vista chipset or soundcard drivers, something like that.
