Hi,
I'm currently run Vista Ultimate (OEM) 64 bit, and I'm contemplating doing a re-install to get rid of some nasties.
I did the original Install my self on a RAID 0 setup partitioned with the OS on C: and data on
. I also have a 3rd drive (E
which I use for Backups.
My question are, if I re-install:
- Will I have to reload the RAID drivers again?
- If I do is there a danger of me losing the data on the D: drive?
- And if I did lose the data on the D: drive, would the new install be able to use the Backup data on E: to restore D: back to its original state?
The other option is to get hold of some software than can health check the OS (registery etc) and remedy any problems. Is there any freeware out there that can do this?
Cheers,
Jubbly
