Vista restart-HD shut down?

When I restart Vista, it shuts the hard drives down. How do I stop this?

Start > Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings

Are you sure that will stop vista shutting down the harddrives on resets?
EDIT: nope still shuts HDD down on reset.

Nope, but it was the only place i could think of for power management at the time. Try clearing the CMOS and make sure you have the proper chipset drivers installed.

Its a known problem with vista its noting to do with the bios settings.

Nope that wasen't it, changed to "never" and still shut down.

Installed in non raid mode, and it doesn't shut off the hard drives when it reboots. Also non the see through interface isn't showing? EH? Installed ATI drivers, and changed "to best looking" in system prefs.

Do you by any chance have an nforce chipset board? Are you running the 15.00 drivers? If so, then that's your problem. The SATA drivers are borked. Get the new 15.01's to fix it.

No, ATI -Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe.
Gone back to Windows XP Pro now anyway.
