Vista restore / maximise animations

Are there supposed to be any animations for maximise and restore in Vista? If I maximise a window it just 'happens', without any posh animation. This the same as on all installs? Just curious

PS I don't mean maximise from the task bar, I mean from when a window is already open...

Not in Vista Ultimate RC1. No idea about RTM though.

AFAIK the only effect you're supposed to see is the window "popping" up; starting a little smaller than it should be and rapidly expanding to the correct size.

If I minimise the window falls back at an angle as it fades out (this takes perhpas a second or less), if I maximise from a minimised window, the same happens. The only time it doesnt happen is when there is a window maximised behind the window I maximise/minimise.

Edit: Ultimate x64 edition.

Edit: Ah, if a window is open and I maximise it, it just appears maximised. No animation.
