Hi all,

I have a Dell laptop that originally had Media Centre installed on it. Due to Dell installing a massive amount of pap in the laptop I decided I was going to partition the hard drive and install Server 2003 on one partition and Vista on the other.

I installed Server 2003 first and then installed Vista, this worked fine. Server 2003 then messed up so I decided I would format the drive and re-install it. After doing this I no longer get the dual boot option. I have edited the boot.ini file to add the second partition and label it as Vista, but this doesn't work. It shows the option but doesn't load Vista when selecting it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Vista uses a new boot loader - not ntldr... so editing the boot.ini won't help.

There's a tool on the vista dvd called bootsect.exe which will help you :)
