I've just moved over to Vista to test it out and I want to disable the services that aren't needed. With XP I knew what all the services were and which ones were needed, but theres loads of new ones in Vista!

Does anyone have a list of services so I can go through and clean it up a bit? :)

Time to tweak this till it runs as good as XP! So far its not as bad as I thought it was going to be.. It would help if I still had 2gigs of memory though really. Stupid faulty sticks! Although at least my new 4gig set should be on its way to me soon! :D
 
I have 64bit and 4 sticks of 5300 ballistix

Ohh.. Didn't see the second link! Will have a look. Blackvipers list was the original list I used to learn the XP services back in the day. Seems to be loads more bloat services with Vista...

Have gone through and disabled all the crap, seems a bit more responsive and quicker to load. :)
