Vista Shrink Partition

Im running vista's built in partition shrinking on a 1 terrabyte drive and its taking a very long time, it gives no progress info, just a "busy cursor".

Anyone else done this before?
How long did it take?
Why on earth didnt they put a progress bar on it?

I done this albeit for a 30gb partition but it still took its time Although I prefer this to the third party disk management software available - with har drives corrupting etc. I'd wait it out.

Took a hour or so.. well i didnt time it but it seemed like a real long time! Its done now!
