Vista side bar

I have been running Vista for about a year and the first thing i did was turn off the side bar but lately after looking at the gadgets there this, i am considering turning it back on. I was wondering who has it, what gadgets they have and more importanly if it's any use or just a waste of desktop space.

There's most likely another thread like this, but I run the standard clock, multi-meter Q, DriveInfo and Two notepads. Very useful if you have a big enough screen.

I only have the Standard Clock (Type 4) and the Slide Show Gadget

at the moment i'm only using the stock microsoft ones (clock, calendar, weather, cpu/ram meter). the 3rd party ones i've tried eat memory like no tomorrow.
