Vista sidebar -can i hide it?

Hi there,

is it possible to hide my vista side bar and just have the widget sit in the corner? i only use one and i cba having that stupid bar there but i love the widget!

^actually you can. you can detach the gadget by dragging it off onto your desktop. then right click the sidebar and click close. this will minimise it to your systray.

Thanks for that, I only have one or two widgets so don't see the point in the whole sidebar. I'll try that when I get home.

OMG its so simple its almost magical...

i thought closing it would exit the whole thing thus shutting down my widget... damn it i should have tried it earlier LOL
