I've got an old program I want to copy onto my pc via a usb stick. Trouble is everytime I attempt it I get windows saying 'I'll need administrator permission to do copy this file' I press continue (because IAM THE ADMINISTRATOR!) and it promptly comes up with a dialog box saying Destination folder access denied. You need permission to perform this action.

WTF is going on here!? I simply don't get it. I am the admin on this pc?? I scoured the net and everyone mentions right clicking on the offending file (in this case a exe) and going to properties/security but each time I do it (remember its still on the usb stick) I get no security tab to select!!??

Can anyone help me out here and tell me how to fix this?

Thanks for all the replies guys.

Unfortunately it's just not having any of it!

I've tried copying it all over my system and it won't work anywhere. I've also tried it in another machine (an xp one this time) at home and its doing the same thing!? wtf!?

Could the usb stick be faulty or something? Every other file copies perfectly!?
