Vista Skin etc

Hiya,

I've been looking through the desktop thread, and there are some beautiful desktops/skins, the like of which I would like on my new laptop!.

I have to confess 100% I'm not totally pc literate - my ex bf used to do all the pc stuff - and I have tried searching for an answer, but it all seems so technical!.

Can anyone, in layman's terms, instruct me how to change my skins, and then add the add-ons! Do I just download skins and extract them to folder, or do I need to download additional software first.

I have Vista 32.

Hi Katie and welcome to the forums! Normally with theme's you download them, install, right click on the desktop, select personalise then look towards the botton of that menu for 'themes', click on that, then you can select the theme form the drop down menu. hey presto, your done! hope that helps

I was concerned they wouldn't download in the right format etc - so basically, I can raid deviant art now then?!

yeah, it's easy peasy! I think deviant art mainly do wallpaper, in which case is easier, right click on the picture of your choice and click set as desktop background!
