Vista sleep mode problem

Hey guys

Just recently put a new PC together. For reference, the thread regarding this is: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17810103. It includes my final spec.

Motherboard: Asus P5K-C

I'm running Vista and can enter sleep mode fine with it fully complete when the power light starts flashing. However, I can't come out of this without switching off the PC and switching it back on again.

So far I have tried the power button its self as well as my wireless USB keyboard and mouse. I have checked the settings and they are set to wake the PC up from sleep mode. I have noticed that, when in standby, the USB receiver lights go out (with USB power being cut I assume). When I then click the mouse or a button on the keyboard the receiver lights come back on. However, the PC is still in sleep mode, the power button is still flashing.

I'm confused because I can't figure out if it's Vista playing up or the motherboard and/or motherboard bios or another item in the PC.

Thanks for any help.

Hmm, at least I'm not alone on this.

I'll try some of the things you suggested balth_dire when I get the time.

I'll report back on any change in the problem.
