vista sleep problem

hey there

i was wandering if any of you guys had a problem putting vista to sleep and waking back up?
when i put it to sleep (hybrid mode) then i wake it up the computer locks up and i gotta pull the plug and restart, so i disabled that to i can choose sleep or hibernate, and it still does it no matter what one i choose
vista is all updated
all system drivers are up to date (BIOS, chipset, ect )

I can be down to the motherboard.
I found that Motherboards that would not wake up from sleep in XP did the same in Vista.

waking up from sleep in XP was not a problem before the vista install
do you think that SP1 might help?

I think this was a SP1 fix, so yes.
