vista sound stuttering

hi guys, really hope you guys can help me.

i've got vista 64 home premium with the below specced pc.
randomly my sound decides to stutter, it alos happenes in dvd's.

i googled it and found other people who were advised to turn of vista sound enhansments, which i have done, but this didn't help me?

any ideas you guys have got to remedy this ?

Are you using on-board sound, or a sound card?

Have you installed the latest drivers?

lol sorry yes, should have said, i am using the onboard sould that comes with the shuttle.

i have installed all drivers and have updated them.

I bet it's due to the onboard sound. Have you got a spare sound card anywhere that you could test it with?

not really an option that one, can't fit it in

it's only a little shuttle you see
