Hi all

I've been checking for Vista 32bit Service Pack 1, but it's not showing up on Windows Updates. :(
After a bit of digging around I've discovered that the problem could be down to the version of the Sigmatel Audio driver installed on my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop.

Just checked the Dell web site. Entered the service tag and all that and they are not listing any drivers later than v.6.10.0.5343 for Sigmatel Audio.
Has anyone having the same problems managed to find any newer drivers than this for there Dell laptops the same as mine.

Not sure if this is your problem as it should still detect SP1 in the update list. It would only warn you after you tried to install it I would have thought?

Apparently SP1 can sometimes not be detected until you refresh the available updates several times.

Im having a similar problem. I downloaded the drivers from Realtek, and they are the same version as I currently have installed, and Vista still refuses to pick up SP1.
