Hi, is it possible to legally download the iso of vista inc. sp1?
So that I can use that rather than faffing around with separate installs or using vlite.

Or, is it going to be easier to use vlite? (I'll need some one to tell me what I need to do to use the program :))

Thanks

Not that i'm aware, legally. I've used nlite before and slipstreaming was easy. All you needed was the orignal disk and the full installer for the service pack. I don't imagine it is much different now.

Perhaps this link makes it a little clearer. Seems you need to jump through a few hoops.

But I'm a good little boy and I don't know where to look, and if I remember right, you're not allowed to say :(

just create your own slipstream dvd using your vista disc and sp1. that way you keep your orginal disc nice and safe

there's no official way to slipstream vista sp1, vlite is the easiest way, but you need 3rd party tools

i'd just download an updated ISO

all good sellers should give you a single disc, i know people who have brought off ebay to get vista and then a cdr with sp1 one on :D
