Vista StartUp Error

I just re-installed Vista and installed my Creative soundcard drivers... now when I boot up, Windows tends to hang on the Welcome screen and then displays an error saying:

CTRegSvr: Failed to Load Library Karaoke.exc

I can press OK in this box and Windows then carries on as usual. I would like to stop this though, but msconfig has nothing related to this

Well Karaoke.exc is sometime to do with your soundcard drivers.

Remove your soundcard drivers would be my suggestion.. See if once you have removed them if Vista still throws up this error or not. IF it doesn't complain then you will know not to reinstall those drivers again.

Agree with the above - reinstall the drivers. Were they on a disc? If so, get the latest ones from their site.

If installed from CD then hopefully you installed the Autoupdate feature? Karaoke is not related to the drivers but to an addon IIRC.

If so then use this as it's much easier than downloading from there awful website.
