Vista still unable to shutdown MSn or Skype

Had Vista for about three weeks now and the damn thing is still incapable of forcing Skype or MSN to close. I just tried shutting off the PC with these two programs open and it just hangs on an empty desktop [ie without taskbar, shortcuts or anything] indefinitely. I end up having to press the reset button, and it's done this every time these apps have been open.

Does anyone know why Vista might have problems forcing these programs to close?

Try deleting the addons folder for skype (if you don't use them). Remember to close skype first, then go into the skype folder in program files, delete the folder think its called skypepm or something

Excellent thank you - that seems to have worked! Why would that have been causing the problem then?
