Vista Surround Sound Help

Hi guys, I have just installed Vista buisness however have a slight problem with my 5.1 surround sound.

I go to Control Panel, Sounds and configure the speakers and all 6 speakers work fine when I click on test.

However when listening to music on MP11 only the two side speakers have any sound.

Please help!

i had a similar problem , if I re-encoded the files into mp3 5.1 they work

music is stereo thats why it only uses 2 channels
