Vista switching windows auto?

Strange problem this one!

I have recently updated my drivers and installed BF3 - i have no idea if this is the cause, but recently i have been experiencing:

a. When browsing, if i have a few windows open, i may be reading one page, when without me touching anything it will flip to another window.

b. When in Steam, be it a game or just browsing through the Steam pages, it will switch to desktop - not crash as the game will still be running, just switch to desktop - v annoying.

Any ideas what i have done?!

mmmmm, looks like it's nothing to do with Steam. I left my browser open and checked my emails in another window - i started reading an email and 5 minutes later the view switched to the other open window!

I timed this and it does the switch every 5 minutes - wth is causing this?!
