Vista System Font Has Changed??

Turned on my system this morning and noticed that the windows font has changed on some apps!. Im typing this now and its as if i have the italic setting on, as all the writing is...well in italic! On my msn messenger the font isnt italic but its as if its all in bold!, the fonts on my actual desktop seem fine however! What the hell has happened?, the fonts were all ok last night when i turned my system of, any ideas?

I had something similar the other day - check that the font smooting setting hasn't been changed or disabled. It's buried in the Desktop appearance settings somewhere.
