Vista system restore

Hi guys,

The gfs laptop didn't boot up this morning and is asking if we want to restore it to a previous working version. That's cool, only problem is she has some coursework due in today! Does system restore take very long and does it remove any officey type files? I've absolutely no idea when the last restore point was.

Edit: I have since had a read of the backup thread, bit late but we arnt the most pc savvy people about

it will only change system files, not personal files.

speed wise, depends how cack the laptop is

It normally doesn't take that long really. I was always pretty para about coursework and had it on my home PC, USB drive, collage network space (which was backed) as well as my personal backups.

Strangely I never did need any of those backups but still felt secure having them.
