Bored of the choices of appearance in XP. Does Anyone know of a vista style theme? I've seen some peoples screen shots of their bench marks and there seem to be some nice black themes about but i can't find them.

There is a couple of darker themes for XP that are fully MS official (i.e. dont need any theme apps to install). There is the black/purple version of the Royale theme that was designed for XP Media Centre. It was ditched before it was finished so its still got the green button. Have a google, it was leaked a while ago and installs without any issues.

Then there the theme Im using. I wanted a black theme for XP that wasnt plasticy or used resource hogging apps. Shock horror, MS came to the rescue with the Black/Grey/Orange promotional theme for the Zune Media Player. I love it! just installed this theme, anyone know why it changes the colour of firefox? i usually have the normal default theme but in small size as im on my small latop but now it is still small but the background colours have changed to a grey rather then the normal colours and i haven't a clue how to get them back.

anyone?

Downloaded that one, pardon my ignorance but how do you install it/get it to work?.

extract the downloaded file using something which extracts from a .rar and then go to VistaCG1.41\VistaCG\VistaCG32 folder and then click VistaCG and it will load it automatically. though with that said you need a small change to your computer to allow themes not made by ms and if you haven't done that doa search on this area of the forums with the keywor theme and it should give you a few threads with what you have to do.

Thanks, have extracted the files, just didn't know where to put them afterwards.

Will do a quick search as you suggested.

Ta.

I just installed Vista Inspirat on my antiquated laptop and i just flies...even with some of the fancy setting activated. Seeing my desktop with taskbar transparency is wonderful!
