vista toolbars

ok, had new PC and it had to have vista on it...
under XP pro I used to have three toolbard around the outside of my screen.

I go to add them in under vista and they won't 'detack' from the task bar...
Anyone know how to do this?

Right click on the taskbar
Uncheck "Lock the taskbar"
Then click and drag the resizing handle out of the bar and it should undock, and be freely moveable around the desktop.

no that's not what he meant. in previous windows versions you could detach the quick launch toolbar from the taskbar (and add other folders as toolbars containing shortcuts and drag them around the screen). afaik this can't be done in vista.....
