Hi,

Please can someone recommend me a TV Card that will work in windows Vista, I only need an analogue one that I can plug a standard TV ariel into. I currently have a very old happuage pci card, but there's no vista drivers for it yet, and i may as well upgrade :)

Cheers,
Jack

I think you will be waiting a while. It's very unlikely Hauppage will just be kind and release drivers for their old products. They'd sooner just release a new wave of products with big "Vista Compatible" stickers on the box :p I may be wrong but this is the tactic that most hardware vendors simply can't wait to use.

From a technical standpoint, TV card drivers will need to change quite drastically to support Vista. Probably just short of a rewrite. It will be for the best though. Video streams will look fantastic on Vista. And you'll be able to drag the TV software around as much as you like and it won't appear all "laggy" leaving purple/green bits behind momentarily like it does on XP :)

What crap TV card do you own that does that in XP ?

I don't own any TV card :) I'm just saying that all current TV cards on XP use video overlays. These can be quite slow when dragging them about (maybe not visible anymore on a dual core PC).
