vista ultimate not installing

cant get vista to install on a Gigabyte EX58-UD4P mobo....using one stick of 2 gig ram and fail safe defaults in bios...just gets to the first screen after the loading bar and nothing happens...tried the cd and drive on an old pc and it strated installing fine..im wondering if i can start the install process on the old pc..then when it reboots stick it in the new pc to complete install?

Is it a green "wallpaper" screen? I had that and it continued after 10 minutes or so.

The culprit was the floppy drive controller. After disabling it in the BIOS, it loaded quickly.

your right..just have to be patient and remember this is Microsoft,,they have their own ways of doing things.....

working now....after waiting ages and assuming its stalled...
