Hi,

I have an ASUS P5K deluxe motherboard and a Linksys WAG200g router. I have connected my computer via the Realtek gigabit Ethernet NIC. At first its fine, and it connects to the network perfectly. This connection stays when going into sleep mode and restarting, shutting down etc. The problem appears after a while when the network finds an unidentified network as well, and only gives a local connection (without internet access). Any body any ideas why this is, and how to solve it?

Thanks

I have the p5k premium board with vista ultimate and was using the Realtek device.

They recently released updated drivers over Windows update that buggered it up, i cant use it cant seem to fix it without a reformat.

maybe your issues are to do with the new drivers too?

If you go to Windows Update > View update history, there is a button there that lets you uninstall windows updates. Then just download older drivers from the asus/realtek site?

I had the same problem on a different mobo, some driver updates available from windows update fixed it. To get round the problem right click the adapter and click diagnose, it then takes a few seconds and gives you some options, the bottom one is repair, cilck that and it will start working.
