why not just order from a site that delivers to UK?

As you'll have to pay i,port tax and duty.
Unless you can get some one to repackage it ans right something like cd's of wedding photos or something similar with cost of £5 or something similar.

I'll be certainly looking at this and I need things like RDP etc. so looks like it's gonna be Ultimate version.

There are some UK etailers that will be selling Vista Ultimate OEM for about £125 Inc. VAT! :D

True but I'd rather have the full retail version now considering the licence differences.
I will be going for Vista home premium (full) for about £220.

where can i buy Vista now ? How much it will cost , around 200 pounds ?

You would have to buy it on behalf of a buisness because it is not released to the general public untill the end of this month.

First you'll be extremely lucky to find a US site willing to sell you anything in the UK - it is a lot of hassle for them to do so.
Secondly, MS software licenses are only valid on a "per territory" basis.
You can buy Windows in any EU country and it will be fine - you are buying a version with an EU license to use in the EU.
However the US license cannot be used in Europe - nothing to physically stop you, however as the license wouldn't be valid why bother?
You'd be no more legally licensed using a US copy of Windows in the UK than you would be using an MSDN download version on a production machine or using a copy downloaded from the Internet.

Where have you heard this?
Last I heard was that Ultimate was probably not going to appear in OEM form.
Mainly because an OEM version dies with the machine it is installed on.
As Ultimate is the expensive option people would not spend that kind of money just to see their OS need replacing everytime they bought a new motherboard.
So only the retail version would be released as this license allows you to transfer it from machine to machine.

As for your pricing - £125.
Vista is basically the same price as WinXP when you compare the like for like product.
With WinXP Professional OEM selling at around the £105 price, I really do not think you'll see Ultimate OEM (if it does actually ever get released in that form) selling for so little.
Which takes us back to the first point - with it being so expensive.

I've spoken to three of our suppliers (classed as rivals so I cannot post their names here) and none of them are aware of an OEM Ultimate edition and these are top-flight UK hardware/software suppliers.

It appears Vista Ultimate (besides other versions) in OEM form certainly does exist and if the announced pricing by some etailers is correct, as cheap as I originally said.

Foogle vista ultimate oem and you'll see. Could just be a mistake however as
have not heard of this company before (the result I mean).

You could always just get ahold of vista make sure it is the right version, install it without a product key and it will work like a demo giving you 30 days to activate.
When you buy vista at the end of the month just type in the product key from the vista DVD case.

I'm not sure if this is a legal way seeing as you have vista before it is released but as long as it is the right region and language this would be legal right?

Nothing physically stopping him, but it is illegal.

Oh, alright, that I wasn't sure about it, as long as you buy a key before the 30 day activation period. At least I know now.
