Hi,

So when I try and start mplayerc.exe UAC always complains, how do I fix without turning UAC completely off.

Just turn it off!

Be brave, your PC will obey your comands.

No more back talking, whinging or checking to see if its ok.

Agreed - I put up with UAC for a few months, but it finally got to me and I switched it off.

Ahhhh... much better.

Lived with XP for so long without UAC, and your clearly a more than capable user. So maybe consider turning it off?

Other than that i haven't found a way to stop it from bugging you im afraid

As long as you understand that UAC does allot more than just ask you for permission & turning it off on some versions of vista is nearly putting you back to XP security level.

I wonder if you've got an older version. There is a newer one that has full Vista support - no UAC mithering and no Vista Basic (i.e. Aero-less) switching.
