Vista Volume Control

When i had vista a while ago (now back on XP) i really liked the selective volume control feature, so you were able to change the volume of different programs running etc. Is there anything like this for windows XP?

No - it's a part of the new sound subsystem written for Vista. As they were rewriting it, they thought that this would be a useful addition.

So, if you want it, you need Vista.
