I have used neither. If migrating from XP, what 32 bit applications won't I be able to use? Will HL etc still run?

Virtually every application you can think of will either still work, or has a new version available.

There's no reason why any 32bit application wont run as normal. 64Bit and 32Bit applications can run simultaneously

. I even managed to get Theme Park World (1999) to install on Vista and it actually works with Vista where as with XP it didn't :confused:

same!! the only problem i av is creative X-FI and W7 drivers

And as usual, Creative rely on a third party to release a modified driver that works.

If by HL you mean Half-Life, then yes, it'll run fine.

16-bit apps won't run on a 64-bit OS, but pretty much all 32-bit apps will work with Vista and 7, although some of them needed updates. If it works with Vista then there's no reason why it shouldn't work with 7 since the two are architecturally very similar.
