vista window transparency

I have seen a number of users posting screenshots in other parts of the forum and they have semi transparent windows in vista. Is this part of vista or some sort of program they have installed? Would very much like to try!!

It's called aeroglass and is built into Windows Vista, bar the home basic edition.

The transparent area only works when your window is restored down and not maximised, also it depends on your GPU.

You can also make it a little more "transparent" by simply right clicking on your desktop -> Personalize - > Windows Color and Appearance.

You will see "Enable Transparency" there, which you can tick (assuming you do not have Vista Home Basic). Also please feel free to mess around with "color intensity". I personally prefer mine being on the lowest possible setting, with a white base color (for what that is worth - which probably isn't much).

Ah well I just happen to have home basic x64 lol. Maybe I will upgrade in the future if there is anything to gain...
