Vista with 4Gb RAM issue?

Just saw the following MS KB article:

Basically saying that if you are using >3Gb RAM, you need to install a patch. As I'm just about to upgrade to Vista 64 OEM, and use 4Gb DDR2 - is this still necessary or has SP1 solved this?

although SP1 has solved this, my DVD isnt SP1, so I have to removed 2 of my 4gb, install vista, install Sp1 and then put my other 2gb back in !
