Vista won't boot anymore.

Howzit Guys,

Last night my Vista Machine locked up on me, due to a fulty USB drive. So upon rebooting the system, I get the boot screen and it says "Loading Vista" or starting it, thats all it says. I tried doing auto repair and system restore. Nothing works. Now how do I fix this with retaining my data thats on there?

Any ideas guys?

If nothing else works you can still boot to a Live CD and backup your data that way before losing it to a reinstallation of Windows.

The Windows CD that I used to install Vista?

I may be wrong here, but he may be talking about a Live CD of something like Linux, I know for a fact that Ubuntu has a Live CD that you can just boot into without installing anything. That way you could back up your files. Best wait till he clarifies what he means

If that is the case, then I do have a Live CD..good thinking really. Will have to get a 250Gb External HDD from work tomorrow then.
