Vista wont boot

I just took delivery of a new wireless network card, a Edimax EW-7728IN nMax to be exact.

So, I cracked open my PC and installed it in to a spare PCI slot. Everything boots like normal, until the screen goes dark just before it normally shows the Vista splash/intro/thing with the welcome sound. At that point my monitor loses signal and just switches between Analog and Digital before finally going in to Standby. However, the PC boots fine in both Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking (which I'm using to post this, with my old ethernet connection). Linux (Arch) also boots fine.

The new wireless card doesn't show up in Device Manager while in Safe Mode, with or without networking, but I'm not sure if it is supposed to or not.

Any pointers as to why this might be happening would be great, thanks.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I did think of trying that, but wasn't sure if it would some how cause more harm than good :D
In other news though, if anyone cares, I installed a Tuniq Tower at the same time as putting the wireless card in. Hands down the best £30 I've spent for a long time - My PC no longer sounds like a jet taking off.

EDIT:

No, still no joy. I did notice that the introduction sound does actually play though before the screen loses signal. Is it possible that the wireless card/graphics card drivers are some how clashing? As I don't think the graphics card drivers get loaded in Safe Mode do they?

Yup, I'll give that a whirl in a second - Just trying the latest graphics card drivers to see if that helps any..

EDIT:
Well, installing the new graphics drivers allowed me to boot successfully in to Vista in normal mode. However, the network card is still not showing up in Device Manager.

EDIT2:
Swapping PCI slots worked, in conjunction with installing the new graphics card drivers. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
