I installed vista a couple of months ago and called up the automated phone line to activate my software after i replaced the hard drive that died.
Now upto last night vista was working fine, was upto date with all updates, but when I came to start the pc this morning all the fans were spinning at full speed and the date was incorrect, so having entered the BIOS and put these correct I fired it up and when it went to load vista I got the box telling me I had to activate it.
I've called the automated line several times and inputted the numbers off the screen into the phone, which they accept then read me the 8 blocks of 6 numbers, once i click next, it come up with a error saying the numbers dont match the numbers on the pc.
I've tried calling microsoft but cant seem to get through to anyone.
Can anyone help with any phone numbers I can call to be able to speak to a support desk.
I'm running Vista Home Premium OEM, I own the copy and purchased it through ocuk, and it's only used on this PC.
