Has anybody had any luck with running Vista x64 on their MacBook Pro?

It took me days to find drivers for it, so after installing them I ran the 2.1 BootCamp update and now I'm left with a Vista install that doesn't work with the internal keyboard.

Add to that the fact that it's completely b0rked my OSX install (gets stuck in a restart loop when trying to boot the mac partition) and I'm not having much luck.

Anybody any idea what I may have done wrong? I'm thinking of wiping the whole thing and just installing Vista (I don't have an OSX disk to do the repair)... :(

The thing is that I don't want OSX on there anyway - I realise that there's some advantages in doing so, i.e. for EFI firmware upgrades. But for the time being, I've got a copy of Vista to hand and don't have a Leopard install disk - so is it feasibly possible?

For reference, I think I already have the drive setup with a MBR.

Thanks for the replies :)

If you had the install disc it would be easy.

Run Boot Camp assistant
Boot off the Windows CD
Delete the OS X partition in the Windows setup

Then you'll have Windows.

I know... I'm thinking of going to the purple shirt store and buying a copy of OSX just for this :(

Just spent an hour searching for the CD but I think I left it on a ship I worked on :(
