Hey all,

Im currently running Vista, and I have found a few games that I am having problems with using.

I have a hard drive that I am not using - can I just plug it into the motherboard, install XP onto it and then just choose to boot into that HD when I want to use XP or just let it load normally if I want Vista?

Thanks - just wanted to make sure this would work :)

unforcantly its not going to be as easy, as you already have vista on, and not the other way round. give me 10mins or so i will find you a good guide.

aa its easy peasy.

kk, 1, sort you hd out
2, install xp on the spare hd
3, repair vista - startup repair

you will then have the bootscreen for boht xp and vista

Is there a way to make it load into Vista normally ? I ask this because I will only use XP for games I can't currently play - im sure it'll get a little annoying having to select an OS every time I load up the computer

how would you the select xp?
what you could do is say make it boot up in vista if you dont select an option within say 5sec's. that would be a way of quickly loading if you dont want xp

vista is default on dual boot, you have to select other OS to boot into, as above mentions you can choose how quickly the option stays on screen before it boots as normal into vista
