Hey all, just another one of the many of the same, but i just wnated to personalise one with my spec and what would be best
Currently running:
C2D e6300 @ stock
2gb ocz pc6400
300gb master (120/90/40/50)
80gb slave
Ati x1950xt 256mb
As xp is due for its usual service, more than 6 months have passed since a format and things are getting a bit laggy, i'm tempted to pull out the Vista Home Prem 64 bit that i got back in January and had a few issues with.
I know the main problem back then was program/driver support, mainly objectdock as i live by it, but i was wondering if now might be a good time to try the big V again?
I'm planning to OC the cpu a bit to maybe 2.2/2.4 if i can dig up the balls to do so (Never have before) and was debating mostly between XP, or Vista or Both?
Both would mean a real hassle setting everything up twice, then again, installing Vista and not liking it again, could mean the same!
I mostly use:
Outlook
Firefox w/ 8-25 tabs open
MSN
Photoshop CS3
Dreamweaver CS3
Flash CS3
Newsgroups/Torrents
Only gaming is done on:
BF2
WoW
As i have the 360 for most games i want.
I'm just unsure which OS might suit me best at this point? The pc is a print server when the printer is on, and i've had issues before on my gfs home network of the XP pc's not being able to see files/shares and move files to/from the Vista machine, which is something that i want to do!
As far as i can recall, i still havr Vista on the second partition, but as i reinstalled XP after, its not showing on the boot screen, if anyone has any advice on how i can get that showing back up and have a fiddle, pre-format, i think that might be best?
Thanks!
