Vista & XP Page file on same drive?

Hey all,

Is it possible to have an XP and Vista page file on the same drive?

I ask this as I have a dual boot with XP and Vista, my XP install is on a partition on disk 1 and it's page file is on disk 2. I would like to do the same with the installation of Vista that I have on disk 1 too.

Is this possible?

Im not quite sure, as both OS' use the same name, pagefile.sys, so what I think (guessing) would happen is that everytime you boot to a different OS it would override the previous OS' pagefile, but it SHOULD work, in theory.

It'll work fine as only one OS will be running at a time. The pagefile is invalidated whenever you reboot - it doesn't store data for long periods.
