vista=xp performance now?

When I switched to Vista a month ago I lost 100 points in 3Dmark06, going from 9070 to 8970. It wasn't a huge drop but it showed the problems with the vista drivers.

Just installed the latest driver for my 8800gts 640, 169.25 I think, and I now get 9070 again.

Finally these drivers seem to be moving in the right direction.

From my experience a few others who I know who have it installed. There is no speed boost to games or benchies.

Are you talking about xp sp3? The only boosts that I have seen published are in desktop applications?

I am testing it and yes overall all Windows use if up inc Boot Ups, dont think it alters game FPS much compaired to SP2.

Just been running some more benchies with this driver.

Crysis in DX10 is now faster than in DX9 too. Only by 2fps but at least it's an improvement!
