I installed Vista64 for Crysis a whila ago & the rear surround volume has always been low & muffled whereas it worked great with XP.
EAX2 & above dont work in Vista64 either.
I've used a Creative Audigy2 value & onboard Realtek thing on a Gigabyte DQ6, using latest drivers.
No mater which soundchip is used or volume control/speaker settings I set, the rear speakers are always a low volume & muffled
I'm trying the Realtek atm & have to set 7:1 just to get a tiny noise out the rear & AC3 films only play surround background noise out the front L/R speakers atm.
I think Vista is overriding any soundcard drivers & doing what it wants, does anyone know a fix for this, thanks.
